MISSION STATEMENT
Omauw Resource Center's mission is to empower survivors of violence and families with the tools and resources that strengthen families, improve health and encourage wellness by providing education, resources, referrals, and advocacy for tribal crime victims living in both Rural and Urban communities.
WHO WE ARE
Omauw Resource Center is a Native women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of violence, missing persons, human trafficking recovery, and families impacted by Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples (MMIP). We provide trauma-informed, victim-centered, and culturally grounded services that promote safety, healing, justice, and empowerment for individuals, families, and communities.
Rooted in Indigenous values and community collaboration, we work alongside tribal nations, urban communities, service providers, and multidisciplinary partners to address violence, strengthen support systems, and improve access to resources. Our programs include advocacy, training and technical assistance, missing person search and recovery support, human trafficking recovery services, community education, and prevention initiatives.
We also believe prevention begins with strengthening individuals and families. Through mentorship, leadership development, cultural engagement, healing and wellness activities, as well as through sport activities, we empower youth and men to build confidence, resilience, healthy relationships, and positive life skills. By combining advocacy, prevention, and community-driven solutions, Omauw Resource Center is committed to creating safer communities and ensuring that no individual or family walks alone on their journey toward healing and hope.
